Reyanne Mustafa

Reyanne (Rey) is a passionate upcycling enthusiast and co-founder of SOULMUCH Foods. Her journey commenced during her time as a waitress, where she was struck by the alarming issue of food waste and resolved to take action. Over time, she and her team have managed to rescue over 50,000 pounds of food, repurposing it into delectable snacks.

Reflecting on her childhood, Reyanne recalls a pivotal moment at the age of nine when she encountered a photograph of a malnourished polar bear, its eyes reflecting profound helplessness. This encounter ignited a sense of responsibility within her, leading her to understand the impact of human actions on the environment. This realisation fostered a passion for art, optimism, and collective action.

Today, Reyanne sees herself not only as an entrepreneur but also as a storyteller on a mission. She has shared her insights on renowned platforms such as Tedx, the United Nations, Coachella, and the Global Wave Conference. From presenting ideas on a global scale to establishing partnerships with industry giants like Starbucks, her journey embodies a fusion of entrepreneurship, sustainability, and art activism.

Art has emerged as Reyanne's ally in inspiring change. Her viral artwork serves as a catalyst for action, advocating for sustainability and ocean preservation. She believes in motivating artists, activists, and experts to leverage their talents for a more harmonious future. With a diverse background spanning content creation, storytelling, design, and environmental science, Reyanne brings a unique skill set to every project, ensuring a transformative impact.

Reyanne invites others to join her in spreading climate optimism and fostering positive action. Her speeches transcend mere words, and her artworks extend beyond entertainment—they serve as a call to effect meaningful change.

OCL are proudly sponsoring Rey’s latest artwork piece, which uses marine plastic to demonstrate how art and activism can drive tangible environmental change, inspiring young activists worldwide.

For this particular project, she will be working with local artisan women in Indonesia to show them that plastic waste can be made into art, which also offers them a stream of income which in turn empowers them to educate their children on pressing issues our planet and oceans are facing.

Through Rey’s collaborative art pieces, she will be shedding light on brands who are accountable for plastic waste, using grassroots methods to send a message to these big brands to provide alternative packaging.
