Following the outbreak of Covid-19 fishermen say they have been humbled by the public reaction and support as the market for local produce has boomed amid the coronavirus crisis – the biggest the industry has ever faced.

Here in Jersey, we are so lucky to have a large awareness of litter, with environmental groups such as Little Feet, Plastic Free and OCL encouraging islanders to help protect our shorelines. 

The Lines On the Sand project is simple in its ambition: the creation of an online gallery to encourage, celebrate and share students’ creative work inspired by the beauty, power and vulnerability of our coastline.

As a collective of like-minded ocean dwellers, living our lives on this beautiful island that is so dependent on the sea, Ocean Culture Life realised the importance of sharing our hope for restoring healthy oceans throughout our community. So, we decided to bring World Oceans Day to the forefront in Jersey.
